Here’s a wonderful itinerary for your week-long vacation in Anzio beach with a day trip to the city of Rome and a day trip to Ponza island:
Days 1-3: Anzio

- Enjoy the sea and relax on the local beaches.
- savor local cuisine in one of the restaurants along the promenade.
Day 4: Day trip to Rome
- Depart early for Rome to maximize your time. It’s just one hour train trip.
- Visit the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. Just jump on a sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus
- Spend time in Vatican City, including St. Peter’s Basilica and visit the Vatican Museums.
- Come back to Anzio for a relaxing dinner at the marina
Days 5-7: Ponza
- Transfer to Ponza by ferry or hydrofoil.
- Explore the island’s beaches and coves, perhaps with a boat excursion.
- Visit the island’s center, savoring local aperitivo in a typical café.
